Meet with a commissioned notary by secure video, sign digitally, and receive a legally notarized document without leaving home. Our Remote Online Notarization (RON) service is designed for busy professionals, families abroad, and anyone who needs trusted notarization on demand.
Starting at just $35 per online notarization. Most appointments take 15 minutes or less.
Remote Online Notarization (RON) allows you to have your documents notarized via a secure audio-video connection instead of visiting a notary in person. You and the notary meet online, verify your identity, review the document together, and sign electronically while the notary applies an electronic seal.
Our platform records the session, secures your data with bank-level encryption, and produces a tamper-evident notarized PDF that you can download and share immediately.
1. Upload your document
Securely upload a PDF or supported document type to our encrypted portal. We’ll pre-check it for basic notarization requirements.
2. Verify your identity online
Complete knowledge-based authentication (KBA) and ID verification using your government-issued ID and a brief series of security questions.
3. Meet your notary by video
Join a live video session with a commissioned online notary. You’ll review the document together, confirm your intent, and sign electronically.
4. Download your certified document
Once complete, your notarized document—locked with a tamper-evident seal and digital certificate—is ready to download and share instantly.
Most clients are ready for RON in under 2 minutes. Before you begin, make sure you have:
We’ve streamlined RON into four clear steps so you always know what happens next.
Securely upload the document you need notarized. We’ll confirm it’s eligible for RON before your session begins.
Answer brief KBA questions and scan your ID. These checks help meet regulatory and lender requirements.
Join a secure video session with a commissioned notary, review the document, and sign digitally in real time.
Receive your notarized, tamper-evident PDF immediately—ready to send to institutions, agencies, or counterparties.
Remote Online Notarization laws are enacted on a state-by-state basis. In most cases, RON is governed by the state where the notary is commissioned, not necessarily where you are physically located at the time of signing.
Our notaries operate from states that have authorized Remote Online Notarization and adhere to that state’s statutes, recording requirements, and technology standards. Your notarized document is widely accepted, but certain recorders, lenders, or agencies may have additional rules.
If you’re unsure whether RON is accepted for your specific document or destination state, our team can review your use case before you schedule and confirm suitability or suggest alternatives.

Remote Online Notarization combines convenience with a higher standard of security than most traditional in-person notarizations.
All document uploads, video sessions, and signatures are protected with bank-level encryption. Your files are stored securely and only for as long as required under applicable law.
Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) and credential analysis add additional layers of identity proofing beyond a visual ID check, helping you satisfy institutional and regulatory requirements.
Completed documents are locked with a digital certificate and tamper-evident seal. The notarization session is recorded and retained in a secure audit trail, as required by law, to protect all parties if questions arise later.
Flat, upfront pricing with no surprises. Ideal for powers of attorney, affidavits, consent forms, and more.
Answers to the most common questions we receive about RON and how it compares to traditional notarization.
Yes. When performed under state-approved RON laws, a remote online notarization carries the same legal effect as a traditional, in-person notarization. The notary is still commissioned by the state, follows the same notarial acts, and maintains an official journal and recording of the session.
Most commonly notarized documents are eligible for RON, including powers of attorney, affidavits, consent forms, written statements, and many real estate and financial documents. However, some document types—such as certain deeds, wills, or documents destined for specific foreign jurisdictions—may require traditional or specialized handling. Share your document with us and we’ll confirm eligibility before you book.
In many cases, yes. As long as you can verify your identity through KBA and a valid government-issued ID, and you can connect via video, you can usually complete RON from abroad. The governing rules are tied to the state where the notary is commissioned, not your physical location. Some institutions may have additional requirements, which we’re happy to help you review.
Most Remote Online Notarization sessions take about 10–15 minutes once your document is uploaded and your identity is verified. Complex documents, multiple signers, or additional signatures may require more time, but we’ll outline expectations before your appointment begins.
Many institutions and agencies now accept properly executed RON documents, especially when they include a tamper-evident seal and digital certificate. Acceptance policies vary, however, so we recommend confirming with your recipient whenever possible. If you tell us who will receive the document, we can highlight any known preferences or restrictions.
Upload your document, verify your identity, and meet with a commissioned notary in just a few clicks. Most clients are finished in under 15 minutes.
